4-H Youth Development
K-12
Leaders: Brenda Kwang and Kathy Wolfe
4-H Youth Development programs serve youth ages 5 - 18. This age group is identical to K-12. The University Strategic Plan emphasize K-12. 4-H Youth Development programming reports for FY 2007 (numbers as 10/30/2008) showed 58,172 Colorado youth (71% of participation) in School Enrichment and 5,802 youth (7%) in after-school programs, including after-school and military 4-H clubs. Delivery of 4-H Youth Development programs and activities to youth through methods other than the traditional club is growing and represents an opportunity for more youth in Colorado to gain life skills through 4-H.
