Managing Food Safety: The Next Step

A live and interactive teleconference is scheduled for January 26, 2000.

This food safety teleconference will provide an opportunity for school food and nutrition program personnel to learn the basic principles of a food safety assurance system and how to apply these principles. Food safety experts and child nutrition directors will participate in a panel discussion and receive questions from the viewing audience.

This seminar is presented at no cost to participants. To identify a viewing site near you or to receive information about hosting a site, reference NFSMI web site (click on Satellite Programs) for the name of your state satellite coordinator or call the Institute: http://www.nfsmi.org/ OR 1-800-321-3054

Note: CSU Extension will make a video copy of this program available for loan at a later date. Please contact Melissa Bardsley at (970) 491-7334 for additional information.

Two conferences which you will want to mark on your new year 2000 calendars are:

Lillian Fountain Smith Conference for Nutrition Educators, Fort Collins, Colorado, June 8-9, 2000
Rocky Mountain Food Safety Conference (RMFSC)

This year the RMFSC will be held jointly with the National Environmental Health Association's national conference to be held in Denver, Colorado, June 15-18, 2000. Note that the RMFSC Planning Committee will specifically plan the food topics for June 15 & 16, 2000.
