Database for Dietary Supplements

The Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS) at the National Institutes of Health launched the International Bibliographic Information on Dietary Supplements (IBIDS) database in January 1999. IBIDS is a database of published, international, scientific literature on dietary supplements, including vitamins, minerals, and botanicals. The purpose of the database is to assist the public, health care providers, educators, and researchers in locating credible, scientific information on dietary supplements.

IBIDS database contains approximately 400,000 scientific citations and abstracts. IBIDS receives quarterly updates—the latest occurred October 1999. The database can be accessed free of charge through the ODS internet home page: http://dietary-supplements.info.nih.gov
