Over 2,000 Images Now Available to Extension

Communications and Creative Services (CCS) now has over 2,000 photographs taken for Extension over the past five years available via an online image application called Cumulus.

Cumulus, which can be accessed from Internet Explorer, houses a catalog built especially for Extension with 2,842 photos of faculty and staff, research and programs, farm produce, flowers, gardens and landscapes, plants, fruit and vegetables.

To access the catalog, go to:
ccs-cumulus.ucm.colostate.edu:8080/Cumulus/ng/index.jspx.
At the Logon screen (Figure 1) type 'CoopExt'. For the password, email the help desk at coopext_help_desk@colostate.edu or call 970-491-5351. (These photos can only be used by Extension personnel.) Before you click on the 'Login' button, put a check in the box that says, "Reopen Collection". The reason you do this is because the next time you login into this web site, you will be able to skip the following step.

Following the password, click 'Login' and you will find yourself at the 'Select Catalog' Screen (Figure 2).

The Extension catalog is already highlighted, so just click 'Open'. At this point, you are at the Extension catalog page (Figure 3.)

Under 'CoopExt' will be three lines ($Categories, $Keywords, $Sources). Click on 'Categories' which will show you two more lines, 'CSU Categories' and 'Library of Congress'. There are photos in each of these lines, which you can access by clicking on the blue arrows arrow throughout each list. You will know you're at the end of a list when the arrows turn to gray.

At the top of the menu, click on 'Information' and you will get information regarding file format, key words for the photo, and a caption for the photograph.
