Healthy Heart Beats is a newsletter that focuses on a healthy heart message. It includes the following sections:
- Nutrition Research and Updates - selected nutrition research from peer-reviewed journals and other information, e.g. statistics, updated guidelines and health claims.
- Resources - recently released resources applicable to heart health knowledge and education.
- Did You Know? - short article written in question/answer format intended to provide clarification about a single topic related to heart health.
- Spotlight - brief resume and highlights of the work of a single individual who contributes to good nutrition for the general public and is either affiliated either with the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Colorado State University of works with Extension at Colorado State University at the county or state level.
- Dining a la Health - consumer-friendly tips to be used in everyday life to foster good nutrition and heart health.
