I am pleased to say, "Welcome to Extension!" CSU Extension is the outreach arm of Colorado State University, "taking the university to the people." Extension serves as a statewide network of knowledgeable faculty and staff that provides lifelong educational programs for all Coloradoans. We are part of a nationwide educational network of scientists and educators who help people solve problems and put knowledge to use. CSU Extension provides a link between the university and the citizens of this state.

A principal element of your introduction to Extension is our new staff orientation program. With both web and face-to-face orientation, we provide you with an initial understanding of the values, responsibilities, and operation of Extension. Many other opportunities will complement your learning process. I encourage you to take the initiative to establish mentoring relationships and develop your own learning experiences in addition to those we have structured for you.
