Colorado Energy Master volunteers must complete 60 points worth of volunteer activities from the time they complete all coursework to the end of the following calendar year.
60 points must then be achieved in each subsequent calendar year to maintain one’s status as a Colorado Energy Master.
Points can be achieved in the following ways:
- Continuing Education Class (5 points per hour up to a maximum of 20 points/year)
- Educational Contact (1 point)
- Energy Assessment (10 points) – includes home energy efficiency, solar, and wind assessments
- Energy Block Party (5 points per represented household)
- Energy Information in Media (15 points)
- Teach Energy Master class (40 points – upon request)
- Teach School Lesson Plan (10 points)
- Other/Miscellaneous (5 points per hour – upon request)
