Energy Resources - Geothermal/Hydropower Energy
Geothermal energy is contained in underground reservoirs of steam, hot water, and hot dry rocks. Moderate-to-low temperature geothermal resources are used for direct-use applications such as space heating. Lower temperature, shallow ground, geothermal resources are used by geothermal heat pumps to heat and cool buildings.
Water as a source of power is an efficient and simple means for providing power to irrigation systems and other ranch and farm operations. Both geothermal and hydropower can save money and help reduce carbon emissions.
