Energizer Work Team
Would you like to be a part of the Energizer Team? We already have a mascot that has even made lots of commercials. No implication of endorsement is implied.
There would appear to be a need to develop a work team around energy. With the broad scope of energy topics available there would seem to be a need for direction in CSU Extension from a Work Team that would develop various educational efforts around energy. Currently some Extension Agents are doing a great job of addressing some of the energy issues. With work team coordination there could be even more impact in the energy information realm.
If you would be interested in testing this idea of a work team, please contact me. I will take your name and keep you well informed of what is taking place on the energy front. We can begin to determine direction for energy in CSU Extension.
Feed Me
I have discovered that many of you are working on energy issues and keeping it to yourself. Please feed me, feed me, feed me any and all information about workshops, meetings and other energy contacts you are making so we can let the CSU Extension System know all about it.
You can also send interesting energy stories, topics for discussion and other cool stuff related to energy. One idea bouncing around in my little brain is to do an energy resources audit. Want to know more? Sorry, ran out of space…maybe next issue or you can always contact me.
Wind and Solar Presentation
Rod Sharp provided me with a presentation that was given to the Agricultural Lenders in 2006. He consented to allow me to use it so thought I would provide it to all of you as well. You can find the presentation on the Energy Web Page under Resources. Here is the link: www.ext.colostate.edu/energy. Thanks to Rod for sharing this presentation.
Tour of NREL
If you or a group would like to take a tour of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) I have a contact for you. Call Ivilina Thornton at 303-384-6566 or David Glickson at 303-275-4097 to make a group reservation. Reservations should be made at least 30 days in advance, and groups must include a minimum of 15 people. Small groups interested in a self-guided experience are encouraged to call ahead. Great Professional Development Opportunity.
