Introduction

As noted in the April 14th update, we have gathered input from county and campus faculty and staff, as well as examined Extension systems in other states. Interim President Tony Frank and our Board of Governors are supportive of this strategy.

Our goals are to:
(1) deliver broad-based programs to reach all Coloradoans;
(2) share expertise of our talented agents across county lines;
(3) deliver a strong 4-H program in every county;
(4) develop a program that will allow us to adapt to diminishing budgets from state and county sources.

We need your input to develop a plan. Since 2003, CSU Extension has had a regionalization plan “on the books”. Now is the time to make your voice heard so that we can move forward.

We intend to develop our strategy quickly, with the Regional Directors meeting May 19 – 20. We (that’s agents, directors, and state administration) will meet with counties in June and July. Implementation will begin in August.
